How to get to the Department of Physics

Once in Rijeka, the easiest way to come to the Campus is by taxi. 

Rijeka has a cheap and well organized Taxi service, that will get you anywhere in the city for the maximum of €10 or less. There are three airports within the radius of 200 kilometers around Rijeka:
Zagreb airport

The easiest way to get from the Zagreb Airport to Rijeka is by the shuttle bus service.The shuttle bus drives every day at 3:30 PM from ZAGREB Airport to Rijeka (Bus station Žabica), and drives every morning at 5 AM from Jelačić Square in Rijeka to ZAGREB Airport.Travel time is around 2 hours. Zagreb airport is about 30 minutes drive from the Zagreb Main Bus Station, service by the shuttle bus running every 30 minutes. All additional information regarding the airport shuttle timetable, prices, and tickets can be found online: 
From the Zagreb Main Bus Station, you can take a bus to Rijeka (Bus station Žabica). Travel time is from 2 h to 2 h and 40 min. The timetable, prices, and tickets can be found online:

Rijeka is well connected by roads to other parts of Croatia and neighboring countries. 
Travellers heading from Zagreb (160 km) should take the A1 freeway to Bosiljevo and then take the A6 freeway to Rijeka. 
Travellers from Trieste (76 km) should take A7 motorway upon entering Croatia at Rupa border crossing.
Travellers from Split (380 km) can take A1 freeway to Žuta Lokva and then proceed via Senj and Crikvenica to Rijeka.

The Main Railway Station in Rijeka is located to the Main Bus Station, next to the bus station. Rijeka has very good rail connections to Zagreb and further to other European cities. There is also a direct trail connection to Ljubljana. You can check detailed schedule and prices here.
